"Karate Ni Sente Nashi"

Kakuyoku Nidan kata, by the late Sensei Tetsuhiko Asai.

Sensei Asai spent a fair amount of time in Taiwan studying White Crane Kung Fu, and from his studies he synthesized/”Shotokanized” many of his own katas. This kata was apparently one of his favorites.

Hanshi taught us this kata a few months ago, along with Kakuyoku Shodan. The movements in these katas have interesting characteristics not normally found in other Shotokan kata.
